I think I'm going to start blogging again - not that I consider any of these prior posts to be anything close to real articles of substance. I just have a lot to say about a lot of different things and think it would be helpful to vent and in this day and age our culture insists we do so online for the world to see, and comment. Anyone who knows me, knows I am possibly the biggest fan out there of Tina Arena so you must understand how incredibly excited I am that I'm going to see her (FINALLY almost five years after I saw her on her Greatest Hits Tour 2004) this March when I am in Sydney for Mardi Gras! And after Donna Summer alluded she may be touring Australia at that time and would love to perform "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" with Tina again AT Mardi Gras, I'm over the moon to think it may actually be happening! Stay tuned!

Nelly Furtado's Maneater remix featuring Li'l Wayne is Off. The. Hook.

Its pretty rare that a song with such a strong beat can be completely reworked to a different beat and still sound that awesome.

Sick & Tired (of bein' sick & tired)

Ok I think after 8 days being down with a nasty-ass flu I have a new appreciation for Anastacia's song "Sick And Tired". Not good times.

Happily though, yesterday I discovered season 6 of Gilmore Girls had already started (well, 2 episodes in..) without my realising so Yay! I was able to download the first two episodes to watch in a row. Great show. Damn, I hope Lorelai holds strong for a while yet. Rory seriously needs to learn a lesson. Ungrateful child. But ahh well..

Wow. Ok that's amazing. In highschool I used to watch SO much TV. It's scary how things have changed. But good scary :)

Today, I'm very much diggin' Mariah, as I have been a lot lately. I really hope she tours sometime soon. And to Australia. And to Perth!! But I fear I may be disappointed..

Someone who IS coming to Perth, and in NOVEMBER no less, is Kelly Clarkson. Man, that girl is awesome! I just hope the month off she has now before embarking on her world tour is enough to get her voice back to the amazing condition it should be at ala American Idol days and even early 2004 Breakaway promo days. So sad that all her screamin' has taken such a toll but I do have high hopes for the concert!! November 4, here I come!!!

Oh, and Bloc Party = cool. Nelly Furtado speaketh the truth.

Okay so just after i posted last I was very excited to receive a big box from AMAZON containing items I pre-ordered like 2 months ago!! It contained:

Odyssey (Ltd Edition) - Fischerspooner;
O (Ltd Edition) - Damien Rice;
B-Sides (EP) - Damien Rice;
Gilmore Girls Season 3 DVD set; and
Ellen Season 2 DVD set

SO that should keep me busy for a gooood while :)

And I've still got 2 episodes of Veronica Mars that I've downloaded but have yet to watch. Yay for me! ;)

Kylie's fabulous concert from Earl's Court, London on 6 May was recorded and aired on Channel 4 the following night. Thankfully one kind UKer has capped and uploaded it in parts to watch at SayHey! Yay! Can't wait to see the Showgirl tour LIVE for myself here in Perth on June 12!!

Splendid audio from many of Tori Amos' concerts from her Original Sinsuality Tour 2005 can be found at ToriTraders. You need to use a BitTorrent client to download them such as ABC (What I use) but they are most definitely worth it! Tori does a pretty different setlist every night and she is always amazing. On this tour she has done some awesome covers including the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon and Annie Lennox! She is now here in Australia and performed Sleeps With Butterflies on Sunrise this morning which can be downloaded as a torrent from Must-Suck. I can't wait to see her on May 15 at the Perth Concert Hall!! NEXT SUNDAY!!

Audio and some video from Kelly Clarkson's current Breakaway Tour in the US can be found at KellyClarkson.ca. Unfortunately for me it doesn't look like Kelly will be coming to Australia...

Ahh well that's enough concert-craziness for today :)
